Friends, I love her so much. This hand embroidered Halloween gnome was such a delight to create, and Penny (yes, I've named her) provided a lovely, cozy palette cleanser for my brain. This witchy bat girl and her friends (familiars?) is charming and adorable. I used 14 colors of DMC embroidery thread, though I encourage you to customize your gnome to your taste, and I've included a few other suggestions for her nose color, including pinks and browns. I picked a hair color similar to my own, but you do you this spooky season. There are sparkling and metallic threads and a variety of stitches, which make the project and the result interesting. I would call this an intermediate hand embroidery pattern or even an advanced hand embroidery pattern because of the number of different stitches and precision.

The fabric I chose for my fall hand embroidery hoop is white cotton with white flowers, but I think many other options would look charming.

This little gnome would also be festive on sweatshirts, kitchen towels, tote bags (gift bags), and more. I can't wait to see what you create!

I provide suggested DMC thread colors plus stitch suggestions, but I encourage you to be creative and choose your own! I created and stitched this pattern without AI.
