Feather Earrings

Paired with gold or silver plated ear hooks, these leather feather earrings are the perfect way to set off an outfit. Lightweight and unique with no two pairs alike. Silicone backers included. I use the thinnest leather I can find, trace the feather shape including the quill, add striations, then skive the edges even thinner. A few strategic cuts add realism. I paint each feather by hand and use an acrylic stiffener to help the leather hold its shape after I mold each feather, envisioning it floating through the air to guide my efforts at shaping each feather.
