In the background is the large text is part of by Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde message to Trump at the inaugural service in Washington DC, in January 2025. Rev. Budde’s is asking the 47th President to have mercy and show compassion. This pattern is my way of trying to reclaim the compassion, empathy and love for our neighbors that was an essential message in Christ’s teachings. I choose to have her words in the colors of the pride flag, but you can choose alternative colors. I also added the text of one of my favorite scriptures at the bottom, John 13:34, commanding us to love one another.
